Mitsubishi Gives Concept SUV its American Debut

The LA Auto Show has come and gone at this point, but for those of us here at Lewisville Mitsubishi, the most exciting aspect of that exhibition had to be the American debut of the Mitsubishi eX Concept SUV. Granted, we’ve already seen a several pictures of the vehicle and been provided with plenty of information regarding the electric SUV’s specs, but to have that many American journalists getting their first glimpses at it in person and walking away so impressed has increased our excitement and delight considerably regarding the future of new Mitsubishi cars.

That future is one that probably doesn’t involve the Mitsubishi eX Concept itself, as this particular model reportedly will not head to production, but many of the features that we love most about the vehicle including wireless vehicle charging, cloud-based infotainment, new advanced safety technologies, and even an Automated Valet Parking feature are expected to find their way into the two all-new Mitsubishi SUVs reportedly planned for release at Mitsubishi dealers near Garland, TX over the course of the next couple of years.

“The Mitsubishi eX Concept redefines the future of the compact SUV and is representative of the company’s design direction, both inside and out,” said Don Swearingen, COO, Mitsubishi Motors North America. “With nearly 50 years’ experience of automotive electrification technology, we have the expertise and know-how to pioneer a new future with next-generation electric vehicles.”

In the meantime, the current generation of Mitsubishi vehicles are pretty great, too, and they’re available to test drive right now here at Lewisville Mitsubishi. Head on out to our facility and take one for a spin, knowing that however great the vehicle is, it’s only going to get better in the future.
